Title: Distant Prophecy

Summary:
Prophecies have always been a part of cultures in existence on many a world. Earth is no different, but they have yet to realize that they are not alone on their planet, nor are they alone in their universe. For centuries other races of beings have been melding themselves into the population, creating a place for themselves and in some cases setting themselves in powerful positions. Some of those alien lifeforms have even begun breeding with humans, creating hybrids of their kind, others use genetics and medical procedures. And in some cases, the truth behind worlds being destroyed isn't completely what it is believed to be...
One common prophecy is what led each one of them to Earth, the planet that would ultimately be the life of their kind or the death. The common translation of the prophecy no matter the language reads as follows:
"Out of the ashes, they will rise.
A force of power
A part of strength
As one they live
Apart they die.
Their lives will bring life
Their deaths bring death
Those who aid them live
Those who fail them die.
From their lips a truth will tell
Worlds will rise and fall."
For centuries each culture has specialists, each alien race prophets that study this prophecy. None of them know where it came from... but signs that were mentioned with the prophecy have begun to show themselves on Earth and they know the time is coming. They are unaware however that they are not alone in this knowledge, that the Gods and Goddesses have remained close at hand, watching, waiting and some have their own plans in mind. Some will use those bound to them in an attempt to swing the balance of power their way. Others will try to keep the Gods from interfering. And some will do what they can to destroy those in prophecy... all they have to do is find them...
When they find them however, everything that they ever believed will be turned upside down. One among them has knowledge that spans ages before even Zeus can remember. Why is it that all these cultures have the same prophecy in common? What will happen as the prophecy is begun?
Ruby St. James appears to be in her early twenties but in actuality is over two thousand years old. Years ago a betrayal cost her life and her heart cried out for vengeance as she died. Vengeance was granted when she gave her oath to the Goddess Artemis that she would serve as one of her Dark Hunters. So, now as a Dark Hunter she serves to protect humans from the inkblots that want to suck out their souls. She trusts only one male, her boss... for that matter he's the only one male or female she trusts. For this reason, Ash hasn't forced her to have a squire... yet.
Seth Clearwater at the age of twenty-two has found himself as an Alpha and leader of the pack after the death of Jacob during a vampire attack. He hasn't met his imprint yet which ultimately has him a bit concerned but he has had far too much going on to focus much. It's only been about three months since Jacob died. Though the Cullens have moved on, the wolves haven't stopped phasing. Embry and Leah had refused to leave the pack and return to Sam.
Embry acted as second for Jacob and when Seth took over he became the same for him. He hasn't found his imprint either and has watched as the others all got imprinted one at a time until he and Seth were the only ones without an imprint. A mechanic in a place owned by him and his pack, he doesn't have any desire to leave La Push.
Acheron is mysterious, more then human and most definitely has knowledge that others wouldn't believe, but even he knows that there are those that know more then he does. Devoted to protecting humanity, whether Earth based or alien, he has watched over the living races protecting them from Daimons and leading the Dark Hunters, warriors who were given one act of vengeance and their soul became property of the Goddess Artemis as they served her to protect humans. Of course, there is much more to the Dark Hunter leader known as Ash.
Max and Michael have been in suspended animation inside the pod chamber since they were placed there by their protector, as they grew the pod worked around them. Isabel and Ava have both left the pod chamber and vanished when Max and Michael find themselves hatching as full grown. Upon leaving the chamber, they are greeted by a woman that hands them clothing, touches their minds enough to impart knowledge and then vanishes. What she imparted to them will allow them to enter the world without needing to adapt to language or typical human customs.
Their truth's will be revealed as the game progresses, let's just say that even those that placed them in the chambers are unaware of the truth. Max and Michael are still Antarian, however the one thing to know is that around their necks on a chord is a small crystal, what this crystal is they don't know, only that they know by pure instinct that they don't want to lose it.
Solaris is what Ash would classify as other. She's not human, God, Were or Dark Hunter and with her blond hair and stunning looks she would make a good Apollite but she's not one of those either. In fact, he doesn't know what she is and no one he knows has any idea either. Even his mother said Solaris was older then she was. Which was saying a great deal considering that Ash's mother was an Atlantean goddess. All anyone knows is that every hundred years, she appears out of nowhere, does some traveling and interacts with living people before vanishing again after a few short years.
Echo is given an unusual imprint, one that even Topher can't really explain. All he knows is the client that Adelle had spoken to was one that had personally held the program. So, as Echo awakens and dresses for kicking ass on the assignment that even Adelle isn't certain of, she is taken to meet someone by Boyd. Boyd is unaware that when she walks into the building, she is transported instantly to somewhere else.
Oliver is about to learn a truth about himself that he might not be ready to face. He is still devoted to being a playboy and then the Green Arrow at night, but the truth may change several things for him. It of course depends on how he reacts to this truth.
Clark has been hardened by the loss of his father, his mother, Lana and Kara who have all been killed and he feels responsible, this situation isn't helped when Chloe ends up missing and there seems to be no way to determine where she is. His relationship with Lana ended on somewhat a bad note and he hasn't allowed himself to move on.
Chloe is much more then she seems, she has secrets she knows about and then some aspects about herself that she doesn't know. She's about to go through puberty that her kind goes through and it's going to upset her world. More, because of how much stronger her powers are during puberty she's gotten herself attention she doesn't want. She has had a surprising visitor, a man that's tall, dark and handsome, someone she vaguely remembered when she was younger. Then one evening, she's abducted by some extremely nice looking blonde men.

Rules:
Sample posts are needed but no bio's required though if you want to write one to have put up here, I won't say no as some of my characters will have one.
Posts are required at least once a week, especially for those that have things to respond to.
No rushing the plot... there are characters in place to set that up.
Information on Acheron so people have a concept……
There is no Mrs Parthenopaeus lol. (for series sake... it takes place kind of around the start of Ash's book but with some alterations) Those that have never read the books, don't worry. Here's the basics that need to be understood. Dark Hunters make a pact with the Goddess Artemis to become her warriors against the Daimons in return for getting their one act of vengeance. They then become nearly immortal. However, they can not be out in the sun while they do not have their souls (which the Bitch Goddess holds in her hands). Her brother doesn't like Dark Hunters and will fry them up crispy if they are out in the sun.
After they take their vengeance, Acheron is the one that trains them in what it is to be a Dark Hunter. Once they are ready, he then assigns them somewhere to patrol and keep the Daimon threat down. Because of a situation that happened thousands of years ago, a Dark Hunter is given a squire that is human and has been trained to fight but also has knowledge of the world beyond what most humans know.
In many cases a Dark Hunter (as long as he/she isn't Roman) was given a power by the Bitch Goddess. She didn't like Roman's so they remained powerless. Simi would love to fry up the Heifer Goddess and stop her from upsetting her Akri. The person playing Simi is familiar with the world and has played Simi for me elsewhere before.
In rare cases it's not the Goddess that brings an individual back to life, Acheron does it and does it better. When he brings someone back, they classify as other in his book and often have some form of gift whether it be simple immortality or something else... depends on what he's working at the time. It's been said that he is the Final Fate. Certainly the fates don't want to piss him off. Then again what God or Goddess would want to piss off a Godkiller.
The Dark-Hunters never know what to expect when Acheron enters a scene. He runs the full gamut from friendly to intimidating to downright scary. It is said of him that there has never been a mortal born who could equal his physical perfection. He possesses a raw, rare kind of charisma.
To look at him is to want him. To see him is to ache to touch him.
Artemis herself once said of him:
He had been built to please, and trained to pleasure. Everything about him from the sleek muscles that rippled to the deep, erotic timber in his voice seduced anyone who came into contact with him. Like a lethal wild animal, he moved with a primal promise of danger and masculine power. With the promise of supreme sexual fulfillment.
Sunshine describes him as:
He had such a deadly, graceful swagger. A predator's lope. There was something intrinsically sexual about Acheron. Something compelling, seductive. Just being near him made her want to reach out and touch him. It was as if he were putting off some powerful pheromones and at the same time, she was scared of him. He was like a lethal, beautiful animal in the wild that part of you wanted to cuddle while the other part of you knew he was just as likely to rip your arm off as he want to cuddle back. He was magnetic and fierce and he made her want to run for the door.
No one knows why he became what he did. Then again, no one knows much about him. Period. And he likes it that way. Trying to get any personal information out if him is an impossible task. No one even knows what his real hair color is.
It is common to hear Ash say, "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should." There are many things he can do but commonly he prefers to use his Dark Hunter abilities... and very few among those he commands know anything personal about him.
It's also common to see Ash with Predator sunglasses and at 6'8, he is typically dressed in black leather pants and a biker jacket with knee high leather boots with bat buckles. There's one sure way to piss him off, but giving that away just wouldn't be fun ~smirks evilly~
Bio's that are done:
Name: Ruby St. James
Age: over 2000, looks 24
Appearance:
Background:
Born Rubiann well over 2,000 years ago, Ruby was born in an age of squalor, a serf of the lesser nobles. She was lovely, seen by her owners as a commodity to be traded for a night to whomever had the pay at hand. When finally, her menses began, showing her to be a woman, she had hopes things would change for her, instead they grew worse. Her body was now used in more ways, if she displeased her owner, they cared little that she was a woman. At eighteen, her owners sold her and she prepared to be mishandled yet again.
Instead, she found herself being tended, being treated as though she were a lady of birth. Her new owner had her educated, cleaned up. Gave her a new life, made her promises and she began to fancy herself in love while he made pledges that she didn't know were false. As time passed, she found her new life more of a gilded cage but then the betrayal came…. A story she will tell when she is ready. She was dying, anger spearing through her and she called for Artemis, she called for vengeance. She gained that vengeance and a new life, since then unable to be in daylight, she has stayed in the dark, fought to protect humans and otherwise educated herself, closing herself off. Ash has attempted previously to assign a squire to her, but she tends to either send them off or kill them, so she's without a squire at present.
Other Notes:
Name: Solaris
Age: unknown looks like she's in her early 20's
Appearance:
Background: Solaris is a mystery, her true name, her true origins unknown, and in some cases even she herself doesn't recall everything. As far as she is concerned, she knows very little about herself at given times because she is only meant to impart certain things before she is meant to depart. Earth is a sister colony to one that she is from, her contact with Earth is done by will, her way of ensuring that the humans continue to thrive despite the many things they and other races have been trying to do to the world.
Gods and Goddesses often believe themselves infallible, but even they aren't as powerful as they believe themselves to be, and Solaris would know as she has known Earth since its inception, since before the creation of inhabitable areas. Despite the power she possesses, she has tried to remain behind the scene's and often does not allow herself to tap into more then is necessary.
Other Notes:
Name: Chloe Sullivan
Age: 23
Appearance:
Background: Chloe was born to an extremely gifted mother, but where most believed that she was so gifted only because of meteor rocks, they were wrong. What Chloe has never shared with anyone and couldn't share with even Clark because if she had, she would have risked her life and the life of her family for breaking an ancient law was that she wasn't a normal human. She's a Were Hunter of the Wolf variety and to be more specific she's an Arcadian Aristo's, which makes the young wolf a tasty little morsel to the Daimons who would like to use her life force to free the Destroyer from her prison.
Other Notes:
Name: Max
Age: appears 18
Appearance:
Background: Max and those closest to him are clones that were placed in a form of suspended animation, the clones coming to full maturity only when the clones previously activated were no longer active. Around his neck when he came from the chamber, was a small stone and he didn't know what it was. However, as the woman appeared to him and Michael, her touch imparted information about where they were, what was happening in the world around them and soon they began heading for a new place, with very little idea what they were doing there, but ready to find out.
